Salmon Arm Secondary

Salmon Arm Secondary is located in the city of Salmon Arm which is on one arm of the beautiful Shuswap Lake.  Salmon Arm was recently recognized by MacLean’s Magazine as the sixth best community in all of Canada to live in and the best community in British Columbia.  Salmon Arm is known as an outdoor enthusiasts’ paradise.  Some of the best mountain biking, x-country skiing, snow shoeing and hiking trails are found right in the community.  The Shuswap lake is an active recreational lake with great swimming, water skiing, boating and fishing opportunities.   Two world class ski hills, Silver Star and Revelstoke Mountain Resort are within an hour drive.  Salmon Arm Secondary has long been known for it’s excellent academic programs which have prepared students to attend the best Universities throughout the world and it’s outstanding athletic programs which have produced many Olympians and Provincial Championship teams.

Community Population: The population in Salmon Arm is 20 000 people within the city limits but the city serves a population of 30 000 people.

Closest Ski Hill: Silver Star.  Many students and families drive back and forth to Silver Star on a daily basis.  As well, buses run from Salmon Arm to Silver Star and back on both Saturday and Sunday.
